Sand Glass Fusion

This week I thought I would post about Ann Blunt who is the designer and maker behind her business 'Sand Glass Fusion'

Ann is a self taught fused glass artist. With techniques learnt in stained glass and porcelain painting, combined with glass fusing techniques, the glass is then finally finished using kiln fusing. Ann's latest work is inspired by vintage fabric designs and she is currently experimenting with printed text and silhouettes fired into the glass.

Ann's pretty and delicate floral wall art pieces are beautiful as are her bold and funky glass dishes.  "Glass is fascinating - the colours, textures and effect of light on it and I love the excitement of opening the kiln to see how my latest work has turned out"

Ann's garden studio is based in Bromley, she also spends a lot of time on the Kent coast in Sandgate, which is the inspiration for her seaside themed pieces.

Ann makes wall art, dishes and home decorations all of which can be found on her online shop  Ann will be exhibiting at a number of Kent craft fairs this year, details of which can be found on her website. She is also happy to take commissions too!   www.sandglassfusion.co.uk
